A hand-animated explainer is made by a studio from your brief, with a storyboard, a recorded voice-over and several rounds of sign-off. The published prices of hand-animated explainer products of 90 seconds to three minutes run from £754–£2,786. An Explain My Pitch video is £39 before VAT, with 3 revision rounds, captions and a transcript: 94–98% less. UK animation studios' own price guides put a 60 to 90 second explainer in the thousands of pounds.
The videos are made differently, so compare what each includes before you choose. Ours are drawn by our own software from a script you can edit, and narrated by a synthetic narrator. That is what keeps the price down, and it is why every word, number and chart on screen comes from your pitch. A studio gives you a bespoke illustrated style and a human voice; if that is what your pitch needs, it is worth paying for.
Even the cheapest made-to-order explainers we found, one-minute video products sold to researchers by publishers, are published at £264–£396.

Before you order
The order form asks for these, so it helps to have them ready. You can save a draft at any point and come back to it.
- Your pitch as a PDF. Your deck, proposal or application, up to 25 MB and not password-protected. Remove personal data the video does not need first.
- Who the video is for. Investors, a buyer, a funder, a panel of judges, your leadership team or the public.
- How long it should be. A target of 1, 2, 3 or 5 minutes. The video runs no longer than the length you choose.
- A widescreen video, Shorts or both. One widescreen video, a set of 3 vertical Shorts for social media, or both.
- What to emphasise. Optional: the ask, the number or the message that matters most to you.
- The layout and the voice. Slides, full animation, a mix or your own slide design, and a narration voice, which you can listen to first.
- What the video can show from your document. Redrawn in our own words and drawings, or showing the document's own pages and figures. For a video that shows the document, how you hold the right to adapt it: for example you or your organisation hold the copyright, or the owners of any third-party material have given permission.
- Whether it is confidential. And, if it becomes public on a known date, that date.
- Your brand. If you want the video in your own brand: your logos, colours and fonts, or your website's address for us to take them from.
- Who is paying. Your own account or your team's. If the account has no video credits left, you can pay for the video by card when you submit it.
Good to know
- Pack credits last 12 months. The enterprise allowance is monthly and does not roll over.
- Consumers can cancel within 14 days of purchase; see the terms for how refunds work once a video is under way.
- Once paid for, the video, captions and transcript are yours: download them and use or upload them anywhere. We can also upload the video to YouTube or another platform for you.
- No registration or password: you sign in with a link we email you.
- The whole process, from deck upload to finished video, takes just a few minutes. How long it takes.
- Style options are included free during our launch: full animation or a mixed layout, and your own layout from a slide design you upload. Voices are always free. We may charge for some style options in future. We'll tell you before we do, and it won't affect videos you've already ordered.
- Your brand is free on every order: import your colours, fonts and logo from your website, or upload your logo, and check them in a preview before you order. How branding works.
- Shorts, and any length up to 5 minutes, are included free during our launch. We may charge for Shorts and longer videos in future. We'll tell you before we do, and it won't affect videos you've already ordered.
