An example of what we make: Rebase.green, a start-up from our own founder, pitched from its own deck. The problem, why now, the solution, the team and the ask, in Rebase.green's own colours, with nothing added that the deck does not say.

This is Rebase Green's pitch, made from its own deck. Rebase is decarbonising the IT sector at scale, through software quality and performance optimisation. The carbon footprint of IT is already worse than civil aviation's, and IT is predicted to consume twenty to thirty per cent of the world's energy by twenty thirty. Meanwhile, legacy code, security flaws, sub-optimal algorithms and a shortage of developers make software ever harder to maintain.
And regulation is arriving: the CSRD, the Green Claims Directive, the CSDDD, carbon taxes for IT, and their counterparts around the world. Rebase automates the maintenance and energy-focused performance enhancement of software. It analyses a customer's codebase in depth, maps its energy hotspots, and uses specialised AI agents to fix the defects, validating and iterating until the codebase is green. The result is high-quality, efficient software, with a certified minimal carbon footprint, accurate data for ESG reporting, and reduced costs.
Rebase is powered by GreenCode, a European innovation project that uses specialised AI to optimise software for energy efficiency. Where others fix code by hand, with no sustainability focus, Rebase fixes it automatically, with sustainability built in. The team is Chris Dean, chief executive and GreenCode's project leader; Anna Kim To-Schmidt, chief commercial officer; and Olivier Bierlaire, chief technology officer. Rebase is looking for partners and investors to join it on its journey to decarbonise the IT sector at scale.
